Guiding Kerala's Seafarers,
Securing Their Families.
Intenting to build a welfare ecosystem for every retired and working seafarer from Kerala. Empowering the workforce from ship to shore.
Protection at Sea.
Respect After Retirement.
Protection at Sea.
Inspired by a century of maritime solidarity, the All Kerala Navik Suraksha (AKNS) is a dedicated welfare society being registered to champion the rights, safety, and prosperity of Kerala's seafarers. We pledge to stand by our sailors and their families—ensuring no seafarer is left behind, whether they are navigating global waters or resting at home.
From financial security after decades of service on the high seas, to standard repatriation of the seaman when companies abandon their crew—AKNS is building a comprehensive safety net that every Kerala seafarer and their family deserves.

Once AKNS receives official government recognition, these are the key welfare demands we will place before the government on behalf of Kerala's maritime workforce.
Monthly Pension
Respect after retirement.
We will demand a guaranteed monthly pension for every retired Kerala seafarer with at least 10 years of service.
Free Insurance Cover
Protecting you, protecting your family.
We will propose full accidental death and disability coverage for every active, working seafarer to ensure families never suffer financial hardship.
Dedicated Education Quota
Giving our children priority, not struggle.
We will request the government to reserve special seats for seafarers' children across Kerala in Higher Secondary Schools (HSS), Engineering, Nursing, and ITI programs.
Education Loan Subsidy
Studying without a loan burden.
We will advocate for bank-guaranteed higher education loans with an active interest subsidy for daughters and sons of registered members.
Home Loan Subsidy
Every seafarer deserves a home.
We will push for financial assistance for building your dream home in Kerala, with priority placement in government housing schemes.
Welfare Fund Cash Help
Timely financial relief when it matters most.
We will seek to establish direct cash assistance for a daughter/son's marriage, immediate medical aid for critical illness, and dedicated student scholarships.
Priority Healthcare Access
Timely care when your family needs it.
We will demand dedicated counters at Kerala Government Medical Colleges where seafarers and their families can access priority treatment using their AKNS ID Card.
Free Legal Support for Families
A board lawyer will fight your case for free.
We will arrange complete legal backing for families if a company abandons a crew or defaults on salary and insurance payouts.
Free Port Rest Rooms & Canteens
No more sleeping on footpaths during sign-offs.
We will urge the government to provide clean, modern rest rooms and subsidized canteens at Cochin, Vizhinjam, Kollam, and Beypore ports.
Standard Repatriation of the seaman & Rescue Team
No seafarer left behind.
If a company abandons you abroad, we will work with the government to coordinate emergency rescue, bringing you home safely with your pending salary and flight tickets.
